BRUXISM is a condition where we grind, gnash or clench our teeth, which is observed while we are asleep, or anxious and stressed.
Even though it may sound like a simple condition, it may lead to severe headaches, the enlargement of the shape of your face due to the impact on the jaw joint, or the locking of the chin.
Results of bruxism may also include wear and fracture of the teeth, and pain in the jaw joint.
Bruxism can be treated with custom made transparent mouth guards that are used at night when you’re asleep. These mouth guards protect and treat the muscles, teeth and jaw joint.
There are two types of bruxism, awake and sleep. In both types, the individual may clench his jaw or grind his teeth.
While it is a condition that can be easily resolved at the initial stage, it may require surgical intervention if left untreated.
